Mohamed joined Lorax in March 2016.

Prior to that, Mohamed was an independent financial advisor and founder of Hedgestone Capital specializing in corporate restructuring and capital raising.

Between 1999 and 2013, Mohamed held numerous positions at EFG-Hermes, ultimately assuming the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer, Group Treasurer, and member of the Executive Committee. He played a leading role in raising capital and debt for all group companies, as well as supporting fundraising for selective M&A transactions. Mohamed served as a Board Member & Head of the Audit Committee of SODIC (Sixth of October Development & Investment Company). He was also a Board Member of Hermes Securities Brokerage and Financial Brokerage Group.

Prior to joining EFG-Hermes, Mohamed started his career in the commercial banking sector across various credit departments untimely making his way to the role of senior executive at Egyptian Gulf Bank.

He also held similar roles in the Egyptian American Bank (currently Credit Agricole).
